Early on we noticed a ridge in the middle Tristan's forehead. After discussions with our pediatrician we were sent to
see a craniofacial specialist who confirmed Tristan's diagnosis of Craniosynostosis. The metopic suture on Tristan's forehead was prematurely
closed which left him with little to no soft spot. Without corrective surgery, his head would have continued to distort eventually leading to
various other complications. Tristan had the corrective surgery on October 22, 2013 at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. We spent the remainder
of that week in the hospital, and got to go home on Saturday. Tristan continues to heal very nicely, without any further issues at this point. We are
beyond thankful for the support of Kenna's Kids in our journey.
